mirror mirror on the wall

This is a two sided message:

  1. PRACTICE IN FRONT OF A MIRROR. It’s an easy to arrange practice setup that will propel your practice results. Simply by putting a mirror in front (and ideally on the the side) of yourself give you a lot of information about your posture and execution of your exercises – speaking of stick heights, motions, habits that you might not be aware of yet. Video taping yourself works great too but the mirror is just easier and more immediate than film. Performing is a different topic all together there I would suggest the video route. Here is a picture of my practice setup for the daily practice pad routine:practice padhttp://www.drumwonderland.com/paul_zewell/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/IMG_4691-150x150.jpg 150w, http://www.drumwonderland.com/paul_zewell/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/IMG_4691-300x300.jpg 300w, http://www.drumwonderland.com/paul_zewell/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/IMG_4691.jpg 1705w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />
  2. Of course I was joking with that headlining picture in regards to practicing but the real message of “WHAT MATTERS MOST IS HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF” is a very important one and applies to our everyday life! Be who you want to be and do what you want to do and as long as you don’t hurt anybody in the process and you can be proud of that than that’s all that matters really. You don’t need to impress anybody or try to please anybody else than yourself. Of course that’s easier said than done but try your best to life by this guide line and your life will become that much easier and more enjoyable for you. If you loose people around you in the process that’s probably a good thing because they couldn’t accept you for who you are and others who do will replace them and things will change for the better.
